高血圧: ディオバンについて

ディオバンは、ノバルティス ファーマ社(スイス・バーゼル)で開発された「高血圧症」に使用されるお薬です。

How Diovan Works

Diovan is a prescription medicine for high blood pressure called an angiotensin receptor blocker, or ARB. Diovan lowers high blood pressure by blocking a chemical called angiotensin II.
Angiotensin II causes blood vessels to narrow, which increases resistance to blood flow. By blocking this chemical, Diovan relaxes and widens your blood vessels, allowing your blood to flow with less resistance.

How Diovan HCT Works

How Diovan HCT Works

Diovan HCT is a combination of the prescription medicine Diovan (an angiotensin receptor blocker, or ARB) and a diuretic (water pill) in one convenient tablet.
The Diovan portion works by relaxing your blood vessels so blood flows more easily throughout your body. The diuretic reduces blood volume by eliminating sodium and water from your body through urination. The combination of the two medicines helps lower your blood pressure.

If your blood pressure numbers are consistently 140/90 mm Hg or higher, take an important step toward a healthier blood pressure goal. Talk to your doctor about whether Diovan HCT may be right for you.
