Dear Anh Hai Tran

First of all, I extend my heartfelt thank for the donations or other assistancesfrom all of Vitnamese people about the Great East Japan Earthquake.

And thank you for informing me about that another blog is using my photo. I am very surprised at seeing it. I cannot understand Vietnamese language but that blog includes lie and fake truth. I am Japanese ,a housewife living in Japan. In 2009, I lived in Xi’an for my husband’s job. I travel around all over China. My blog is for the record of my own memory.

For last travel, I went to Maripo, the border town to Vietnam in GuangXi Province. I like to watch documentary program on PhoenixTV. One of these especially attracted me. It’s about Maripo.

I was very impressed by the farmer who had lost his leg by land mine. His vitality really moved me. So, I determined that I would go there and meet him. I don’t have no political attitude. I love China. I have a lot of Chinese friends. I also love Vietnam and have some Vietnamese friends. I am neither for or against both sides.

Therefore, I am very sad to hear using my photoes for extremly political movement. Most of photoes he used are mine originally.

Three sheets are not. A photo of two men with brain buckets is not mine. And some montaineous landscape is also not.

I found these three have differnt texture. If he would say that he took another photoes, he is just a liar. Especially one of them, the photo of chopper is TV picture. One of these is very important photo of me. My online name is “Shiroi Koibito”. That’s named after one famous cookies of Japan. The blue box which the man in milialy clothes are holding is it, “Shiroi Koibito”.

He is just the man that I watched on TV. Yes, he is one-legged and still worked in his farm. This photo is mine without doubt. I have already finished this blog. I would not ristrict use of my photoes. However, I can’t stand the liar.

Thank you again let me know about this news.

This is site of PhoenixTV.

This is my blog about this program. The farmer shows with brown cloths. You can find it on TV screen because of Chinese subtitle (地雷を踏んだらサヨウナラ・・ではない).

白い恋人より

Thư của Anh Hai Tran:

Dear Ms Hatena,

Allow me to send you a thousand apologies for this intrusion. I’m a Vietnamese citizen living in Vietnam and I’m writing to you to ask for your assistance in clarifying a following matter.

Of late, a certain blogger named Ha Minh Thanh who claimed that he’s a naturalized Japanese citizen and policeman originally from Vietnam (he works for the police inSaitama Prefecture), had posted various photos supposedly related to the border war between Vietnam and China. He further claimed that 3700 soldiers from the Vietnamese side were burnt alive and buried under a mound shown in one of the pictures. One of the soldier had given his diaries to a Chinese citizen for keepsake, moments before he was massacred. Now the Chinese man wanted to return those diaries to the Vietnamese side.

The whole story has been posted here:
http://phamvietdaonv.blogspot.com/2011/03/ha-minh-thanh-la-ai.html

However, someone has pointed out that the whole picture thread originated from YOUR BLOG and bore a entirely different meaning (中国・ベトナム国境 地雷原に白い恋人を):

You can imagine the story is causing a sensation in Vietnam. Some said that man, Ha Minh Thanh, stole the photos from your blog and created a whole story to serve a certain purpose. Others said it was YOU who did steal from Ha Minh Thanh. Please forgive me for this language, but I just repeated someone else.

May I ask for your kind cooperation in clarifying the matter once and for all.

I wish you the best of everything and do forgive me once again for this inappropriate intrusion. As I can’t speak or write in Japanese, I chose to write in English instead.
I hope you’d find some time to visit Vietnam.

Warmest regards,
Anh Hai Tran
