04/07 It's a dog's life! Arnold Schwarzenegger ventures out for the first time since Maria Shriver filed for divorce with his pet pooch

Last updated at 3:57 AM on 4th July 2011
It has been a rough few of weeks for bodybuilder-turned-politician Arnold Schwarzenegger.
But the shamed star still has one friend he can rely on to stick with him - his dog.
The 63-year-old Terminator actor made his first public appearance since it was announced his wife Maria Shriver had filed for a divorce, two months after it was revealed he fathered a love child with their former housekeeper.

And he looked in remarkably high spirits as he padded down the street with his bodyguards and his four-legged friend.
Former California governor Arnold was accompanied by his burly bouncers as he enjoyed the afternoon sunshine in Brentwood yesterday.
The eco-campaigning True Lies star also went for a drive in his massive Hummer, which has been modified to run on environmentally friendly bio-fuels.

It was the first time he has been spotted since the 55-year-old former California first lady cited irreconcilable differences in papers filed at Los Angeles Superior Court.
She is also seeking shared custody of their minor children, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13.
The legal documents that were posted on give details on the divorce. The date of separation is 'yet to be determined.'

Maria cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the divorce.  She asked for joint custody of the couple's minor children, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13.
She also asked for spousal support and requested that Arnold be denied spousal support.  Maria asked for Arnold to pay the attorneys fees for both parties.

The couple also have two daughters, Katherine, 21 and Christina, 19.
Reportedly there is no prenuptial agreement between the pair, so all of Arnold and Maria's earnings over the past quarter century will be divided 50/50.
And, in the petition, filed by Maria's attorney Laura Wasser, Shriver is asking Arnold to pay the attorneys' fees of both parties.
The documents reveal that the property accumulated during the marriage will be divided at a later date.

Sources close to the couple told TMZ that Arnold and Maria are on speaking terms and Arnold knew beforehand that she was filing divorce papers. Maria is telling friends she hopes this will be an easy and amicable divorce.
They announced their split back in May, saying in a statement: 'At this time, we are living apart, while we work on the future of our relationship.
'We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the centre of both of our lives.'

Both Arnold and Maria appear to be moving on, though Arnold has often looked sombre in recent weeks.
It was just weeks after the couple announced their separation in May that it was revealed that Arnold had fathered a child, Joseph, now 13, with Mildred.

In an interview with Hello magazine, Mildred revealed that she and the actor had only a handful of encounters - not a lengthy affair - and that the former Californian Governor only learned that Joseph was his son recently.
She believes suspicions were raised when she brought the 13-year-old over to the Schwarzenegger's home last summer after a long absence.
Mildred had 'no comment,' to make about today's events, according to her lawyer.

The wife of film star and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has filed for divorce.
Mr Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, a Kennedy heiress and former journalist, separated in May amid revelations that he had fathered a child out of wedlock.
The divorce papers cite irreconcilable differences as the reason to end their 25-year marriage.
The couple have four children together. Ms Shriver is seeking joint custody of two minor sons, aged 17 and 13.
Mr Schwarzenegger was elected Republican governor of California in 2003. He left office in January, planning to resume his career in Hollywood.
In May, it was revealed he had a child with a member of his household staff more than 10 years ago.
The divorce papers, filed in a Los Angeles court, do not indicate the couple had a pre-nuptial agreement regarding division of their wealth.
Analysts say that indicates they will split evenly Mr Schwarzenegger's earnings as a Hollywood star since 1986.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mark Sanford, Silvio Berlusconi, John Edwards... Danh sách những chính trị gia nam rắc rối vì thói trăng hoa còn rất dài, nhưng có một điều ít ai để ý là nữ giới trên chính trường cũng tỏ ra là những người đào hoa không kém. Dưới đây là danh sách tổng hợp của báo Mỹ The New Yorker.

Jacqui Smith, Bộ trưởng an ninh nội địa Anh

17/03 Arnold Schwarzenegger admits fathering employee's child

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria ShriverMr Schwarzenegger and Ms Shriver jointly announced their separation last week

Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has acknowledged he fathered a child with a member of his household staff more than 10 years ago.
"After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago," Mr Schwarzenegger said in a statement.
Earlier this month the former actor and his wife Maria Shriver said they were separating after 25 years of marriage.
Ms Shriver moved out of their Los Angeles mansion earlier in the year.
In his statement, Mr Schwarzenegger said: "I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family."
He and Ms Shriver have four children together between the ages of 14 and 21.
Ms Shriver said in a statement: "This is a painful and heartbreaking time. As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal."
The couple's children posted messages on Twitter expressing their love for their family and thanks to supporters for their sympathy.
The 63-year-old former governor has maintained a high public profile and worked to revive his movie career since finishing a seven-year run as California governor in January.
    'Truly sorry'
The name of the former member of Mr Schwarzenegger's household staff with whom he fathered the child has not been made public. But reports said she worked for the family for 20 years and retired in January.

    Analysis

Arnold Schwarzenegger fell out of favour with Californians long before he left office. But political failings aside, today's revelation came as a bolt out of the blue. It will certainly cement the so-called Governator's image as a disgraced public figure.
He had long had a reputation as a womaniser but this affair is tawdry - the fact that his mistress continued to work in the Schwarzenegger household up to January of this year - without his wife knowing what happened.
Mr Schwarzenegger's legacy was already in serious question, thanks to the fallout from his decision (in his final hours in office) to commute a 16-year prison sentence for manslaughter to seven years for the son of a close friend. Last week the San Diego District Attorney filed papers to void the commutation. The scandals swirling around Mr Schwarzenegger must surely kill any chances of a future life in public service. But Hollywood may be more forgiving.
In an interview on Monday, before the former governor issued his statement, the woman told the Los Angeles Times that another man, her husband at the time, had fathered her child.
When the Times informed her of Mr Schwarzenegger's statement later on Monday, the woman declined to comment further.
"I have apologised to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry," Mr Schwarzenegger said.
Ms Shriver supported her husband during his 2003 campaign, following accusations by more than a dozen women who said Mr Schwarzenegger had groped them in the past.
The former governor responded to the accusations by saying he "behaved badly sometimes".
The former first couple of California have been married for 25 years and did not mention a cause for the separation when it was announced last week.
Prior to taking office, Mr Schwarzenegger was best known for starring in the Terminator action films.
Ms Shriver, a member of the Kennedy dynasty, left her job as a TV reporter when her husband was elected as governor.
