Ngọc Quyên: từ nude "tự biên" đến nude "bắt chước"

Hồi đầu năm, nữ người mẫu 23 tuổi gây sốc khi tung ra bộ ảnh “trần trụi giữa thiên nhiên”. Những tấm hình khỏa thân của cô được nhiếp ảnh gia Tô Thanh Nghiệp chụp giữa núi rừng Mộc Châu, Sơn La hoàn toàn không sử dụng "phương tiện" nào để che những bộ phận nhạy cảm trên cơ thể. Trong nhiều bức ảnh, tư thế của Ngọc Quyên bị đánh giá là dung tục. Nhưng người đẹp khẳng định, cô "cởi hết" để kêu gọi ý thức bảo vệ môi trường. Vụ việc gây ồn ào đến độ, cụm từ "bảo vệ môi trường" một thời gian dài được cư dân mạng sử dụng để ám chỉ việc chụp ảnh khỏa thân.

Despite holiday spirit, bad economy affecting Chicago charities

CHICAGO, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- It is still the "season of giving, " but tough economic times have put a strain on so many Americans' paychecks this year that holiday donations and charitable contributions have fallen at some Chicago relief organizations.

For many Americans, the holiday season goes in hand with Salvation Army bell ringers, the thousands of volunteers who stand outside stores and street corners collecting charitable donations for the famous relief organization. The donations, which are collected in a signature red kettle, go towards funding local Salvation Army community centers and programs for those who are struggling.

 　【ソウル共同】２７日付の韓国紙、中央日報は、東日本大震災発生当日の状況を報じた３月１２日付の１面で「日本沈没」という見出しを付けたことが「災害に苦しむ日本人を傷つけた」として、当時の紙面を取り消すとする「反省文」を掲載した。

 　反省文は、今年の同紙の報道全般について不適切だった点を振り返るコーナーに、１ページの３分の１程度を割いて掲載。新たに「力を出せ、日本」との見出しを付けて編集し直した紙面を並べた。

National campaign to send street children home

BEIJING, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- China has launched a one-year inter-agency national campaign aiming to return most street children home, the Ministry of Civil Affairs (MCA) said Monday.

The MCA will lead the campaign, which is joined by the ministries of education, public security, financial, health, human resources and social security, and housing and urban-rural development, an MCA statement said.

You know, when I flip through my parents’ records and listen to their old albums, I can say they didn’t own one with a singer with a questionable or crappy voice. Rome (CNN) -- Pope Benedict XVI presided over Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve, delivering a homily that focused on the "essence" of the holiday rather than the "commercial celebration" it has become.

"Today Christmas has become a commercial celebration, whose bright lights hide the mystery of God's humility, which in turn calls us to humility and simplicity," the pope said after recalling the story of Christmas. "Let us ask the Lord to help us see through the superficial glitter of this season, and to discover behind it the child in the stable in Bethlehem, so as to find true joy and true light."
